We are located in Historic Sheepscot Village in Midcoast Maine, in the town of Alna. An hour North of Portland, 50 minutes South of Camden...... we are just 4 miles from the coastal Maine villages of Wiscasset and Damariscotta on Route 1.
Wabi Sabi Cottage overlooks the tidal Sheepscot River. With two charming, country, antique appointed rooms, you can wake to a view of the river as the smell of coffee, and bacon waft under your door. After a shower overlooking the river, cozy up to the fireplace in the winter or sit on the screen porch and drink in the view. A full country cottage breakfast promises to be food for your soul, your eyes and your appetite.
Joan Belcher, Innkeeper and lifelong Maine resident, rises at 4:30 every morning. While her passion
is Wabi Sabi Cottage, she also keeps up her 17 year nursing career by working a few days a week at a local nursing home providing care for Maine's elderly.
For breakfast you will enjoy a full country cottage spread with fresh fruit, orange juice, eggs from the chickens in the back yard, homemade sausage, homemade toast and Joanie's Jam or a healthy "breakfast sundae" homemade granola with organic french vanilla yogurt and fresh fruit served in an antique ice-cream dish.
